2014.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td><strong>Q<\/strong><strong>uality enrichment programs in education<\/strong><\/td><\/tr><tr><td>The society in general, and educators in particular, have come to realize that gifted and talented persons are characterized by deep insight and quick performance. They represent an important sector in the society in terms of their unusual thinking and innovative ideas and solutions to problems.&nbsp;In his book \u201cWhat Makes Giftedness?\u201d, Joseph Renzulli, a renowned American educational psychologist, presented his well-known definition of talent and giftedness:\u201cTalent and giftedness are the outcome of three clusters of human traits: Above average general ability; high level of commitment tasks (motivation); and high level of creativity\u201d. Gifted and talented persons are those who possess, or are capable of developing, this combination of traits and utilize them in a worthwhile field of human accomplishment.&nbsp;&nbsp;Based on the above theoretical framework, we realize the importance of quality enrichment programs in education, which address the individual differences among students, thus motivating them to commit to excellence in performance and productivity.
